Hosmer Chiropractic at the Met

Hosmer Chiropractic Health has moved from its previous location in the Lexis to the Metropolitan (1030 NW Marshall Street at the corner of NW 11th, 503-227-2279).

After a HUGE build-out in a previously naked space, Dr. Seth Hosmer and Dr. Phil DeVasto, along with their group of hard-working health professionals, opened their doors Monday without a breath of space between closing in one location last Friday and opening in another on Monday. Whew! We need a massage just thinking about it!!

Speaking of massages, they put in a second floor for the masseurs/masseuses. What a big change!

What hasn’t changed is their dedication to restoring your health and relieving your pain. Besides chiropractic services (relieving pain from sports, accidents, whiplash, back and neck pain and headaches), they offer coaching for endurance athletes (cyclists and triathaletes) and offer bike fittings to minimize or eliminate the pain caused from cycling with an ill-fitting bike.

Several types of massage are on their menu and all sound relaxing – deep tissue, sports, pin and stretch, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Call or just walk in without an appointment. They can help!

Ovation Café at the Encore! Encore!!

Ovation Cafe at the Encore

Very soon now this heretofore empty retail location in the Encore will be filled with a bustling Ovation Café, a contemporary coffee, tea and snack shop with a menu of hot and cold beverages and various snacks chosen to befit their unique location. Not only will the residents and guests of the Pearl District benefit from having another tasty food and bev option but visitors to the Fields Park will as well!

The owners are experienced restauranteurs with a successful and popular 5-star restaurant in the suburbs of Wilsonville. Their plan is to offer local Flying Bean coffee, innovative espresso beverages (Salted Caramel Latte! Dark Chocolate and Bean Blender! served with flavored whipped cream – yum!) and Moroccan Mint Green tea. Light snacks will include cold sandwiches and hot paninis and the sweets will include giant cinnamon rolls, cupcakes and scones. Pastries will be fresh baked daily.

But we’re told it’s consistent, superior service that sets them apart from the rest. That’s a lot to live up to, but we have the highest of hopes!

The TI build-out will start soon and we are hoping eventually there will be seating on the sidewalk so we can not only sip on our Vanilla Latte Bean Blender but enjoy the Fields Park in all its splendor.

Later on in the summer let’s plan to stop by and introduce ourselves to Dee and her family and welcome them to the neighborhood!
